Villa Tskneti is located approximately 10 km uphill from Tbilisi, in an area known for its hilly landscapes and oak trees. The project site, situated atop a hill, is surrounded by a dense private housing area. Despite the disordered surroundings, the site offers a rare opportunity to create a residence with a strong connection to nature. Its north-facing orientation provides views of the nearby forested hills and the city of Tbilisi below.
The design of Villa Tskneti centers on creating a serene, enclosed Isolated oasis within the property. A peaceful garden is sheltered behind fortress-like walls providing privacy from the surroundings. These perimeter walls are carefully punctuated with openings that allow access, natural light, and framed views of the outside. Organized across two levels, the house takes full advantage of the sloped terrain. The lower floor blends into the forest, while the upper floor serves as the main entrance and extends into the garden. The terrace and garden provide open, tranquil spaces to enjoy expansive views of the hills and the Tbilisi skyline.
More than just a residence, Villa Tskneti is designed as a retreat—a place where residents can connect with nature while enjoying the comforts of modern living. The terrace and garden atop the house invite relaxation and reflection, integrating the surrounding landscape into daily life. By balancing a structured, enclosed space with the openness of its natural surroundings, Villa Tskneti creates a harmonious relationship between architecture and nature.
